In addition to being a professional writer and editor, I love reading, international travel, photography, cooking, collecting art and making new friends at the local dog park.
I've been writing for the web since 1997, when I made the leap from print journalism to the booming internet sector. Since then, I've covered topics ranging from taxes, healthcare and the Affordable Care Act to internet security software. Along the way, I developed a passion for user experience and web design.
My career also encompasses writing about food, wine, books, people and travel, including 10+ years as a reporter at the San Diego Union-Tribune and a decade as San Diego Magazine's restaurant critic.
My work has appeared online and in print for dozens of publications including Elle, the Los Angeles Times, Wine.com, MSN.com and numerous travel guidebooks.
